What We Do

In support of our mission, we at WFPSE work to raise awareness and encourage community involvement in support of our core issues through various events and activities. These are often held in conjunction with or the support of other non-profits, local community leaders, religious organizations, and of course, a community of volunteers and concerned citizens.

Delegations

WFPSE regularly sends delegations to impacted areas in Latin America to witness first-hand the conditions and issues affecting those areas. Delegates receive training on how to use their first-hand knowledge to help impacted areas upon returning to the U.S. Learn more.

Annual Caravan for Justice

This march for peace and justice takes place every spring in North Carolina with the aim of raising awareness and encouraging action among the public concerning our core issues. Learn more.

Speakers’ Tour

Each fall, WFPSE hosts a Latin American guest speaker to give first-hand accounts of issues facing his or her home country, raising awareness and encouraging action from concerned citizens. Learn more.

SOA WATCH

Each year, Witness for Peace Southeast helps to coordinate a trip to join in the School of the Americas Watch – a vigil and protest in Ft. Benning to demand the closure of the SOA. Contact us for information about how you can join us this November. This year from November 10-12, we will join others in ambos Nogales for the second bi-national convergence at the militarized U.S./Mexico border to call for a change in US policy across Latin America. Learn more.
